6G Devices

The 6G Devices grant aims to produce a widely-endorsed European roadmap for device development addressing device complexity, target markets, and connectivity capabilities. It supports strategies to revitalize and strengthen European industrial capabilities around 5G/6G devices and provides recommendations to assist the telecom and microelectronics industries, including measures to support comprehensive EU value chains, downstream production, and emerging vertical-specific use-cases. The grant will foster collaboration, define technological roadmaps, and address critical challenges such as experimental facilities, open platforms, and integration into business models.

Grant application conditions

Eligible Countries	Participation is limited to legal entities established in EU Member States and Associated Countries. Entities from Russia, Belarus, or non-government-controlled territories of Ukraine are not eligible. Entities controlled by a non-eligible country or deemed high-risk suppliers of mobile network communication equipment are not eligible unless guarantees are accepted by their country of establishment and the EU Commission.

Admissibility	Full proposals must not exceed 50 pages for CSA Stream actions.
Security and Strategic Interest	Entities may not be directly or indirectly controlled by a non-eligible country unless safeguards are in place preventing access or influence over project results or sensitive information. Entities assessed as high-risk suppliers of mobile network communication equipment, or entities they own/control, are not eligible.
Ownership/Control Restriction	Intellectual property and results must remain within eligible entities and not be controlled or exported outside eligible countries without approval.
Gender Equality	Gender equality plans are required for public bodies, research organizations, or higher education establishments (including private ones). Gender dimension in research and innovation content must be considered where relevant.
