The grant aims to accelerate the discovery and development process for innovative advanced materials and chemicals through the development and application of digital tools and artificial intelligence. It expects to deliver innovation workflows, including design of experiments and simulations, to support operationalisation of the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework, and substantially improve risk assessment of chemicals and advanced materials in Europe. The initiative promotes rapid development of substances with marketable and novel functionalities, fostering collaborations, digitalisation, standardisation, high-quality FAIR data practices, and synergies with various EU-wide initiatives.
