African food cities

This grant aims to support the transformation of food systems in African cities to deliver co-benefits for climate, environmental sustainability, dietary shifts, healthy nutrition, food poverty reduction, and thriving businesses. It aligns with the European Green Deal priorities, the farm-to-fork strategy, and the EU-Africa partnership goals.

Grant application conditions

Eligible Countries	All EU member states, African Union member states, and other associated or non-associated countries as specified in Annex B of the Horizon Europe Work Programme.
Consortium Requirements	Proposals must include at least five independent legal entities established in Africa, covering at least three different African Union regions.
Multi-Actor Approach	Proposals must use a multi-actor approach involving diverse stakeholders from farm to fork, public and private sectors, and society.
Financial Support to Third Parties	Financial support can only be provided in the form of grants, with a maximum of EUR 60,000 per third party.
