Back to earth: bringing communities and citizens closer to soil

Activities under this topic will help progress towards the overall goal of the Mission ‘A Soil Deal for Europe’, in particular by contributing to its specific objective 8 “Increase soil literacy across society”. Activities should also contribute to the Education for Climate Coalition and to the Long-term vision for EU’s rural areas as the Mission is one of its flagship initiatives.

Grant application conditions

Eligible Countries	Described in Annex B of the Work Programme General Annexes. Includes EU Member States and associated countries.
Multi-actor Approach	Proposals must apply the multi-actor approach, involving a wide range of actors such as artists, cultural and creative industries, civil society organisations, citizen engagement experts, public authorities, and soil scientists.
Financial Support to Third Parties	The maximum amount to be granted to each third party is €150,000. The financial support to third parties should not exceed 40% of the EU funding.
Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH)	Proposals should include SSH disciplines such as behavioural sciences, communication, and arts.
International Participation	Legal entities established in non-associated third countries may exceptionally participate.
Evaluation Criteria	Award criteria, scoring, and thresholds are described in Annex D of the Work Programme General Annexes.
