Circular innovative advanced materials: facilitating the transition from design to markets (RIA) (Innovative Advanced Materials for the EU and Made in Europe partnerships)

This grant aims to accelerate the adoption of innovative advanced materials designed for circularity into products, focusing on recyclable polymers, composites, magnets, and metal alloys for additive manufacturing. Projects should develop advanced materials with novel functionalities, integrate new processes and technologies for industrial uptake, and adopt circular business models addressing life-cycle costs. The grant supports the full innovation cycle—from design, development, recovery, recycling, to demonstration and industrial integration. Proposals should showcase demonstrators and industrial use cases for transformative circular solutions, promote data sharing and use of digital tools, support resource efficiency, and follow the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework. Strategic value chains in mobility and medical devices are prioritized, fostering collaboration across sectors and stakeholders.
