Closing knowledge gaps on Earth system science in support of global and regional assessments and climate policy
The grant aims to close critical knowledge and data gaps in Earth system science as identified in the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) and other authoritative sources. Projects are expected to improve the quality and reduce the uncertainty of global and regional climate change projections, generate new climate science evidence for policy needs, and address knowledge gaps not sufficiently tackled by ongoing research. Proposals should focus on areas relevant to Cluster 5, Destination 1, and provide new scientific insights and approaches, supporting the development of comprehensive and policy-relevant assessments.
