Cooperation on innovative advanced materials with Japan (CSA)

This grant aims to strengthen cooperation between Europe and Japan in the field of innovative advanced materials. It supports European researchers from Member States and Associated Countries to undertake research visits to Japanese institutions engaged in advanced materials relevant to mobility, energy, construction, electronics or medical devices. Grant application conditions

Admissibility Conditions	Proposal page limit and layout described in Annex A and Annex E of the Horizon Europe Work Programme General Annexes; see Application Form (Part B) in the Submission System.
Eligible Countries	Applicants must be from Horizon Europe Member States or Associated Countries. See Annex B of the Work Programme General Annexes for full eligibility details. Some non-EU/non-Associated countries may participate if specific funding provisions are made.
Eligible Applicants	European researchers in innovative advanced materials or consortia of eligible legal entities such as universities, research institutes, companies, and NGOs.
Collaboration Requirement	Visits must be to Japanese research groups or organisations conducting complementary advanced materials research. Visits should be up to one month.
Legal and Financial Set-Up	Financial and operational capacity, exclusion, and grant legal requirements as per Annexes C, G, and relevant parts of the Horizon Europe Programme. The granting authority may object to a transfer of ownership or exclusive licensing of results up to 4 years after the end of the action.
Project Scope	Research activities must address advanced materials relevant for mobility, energy, construction, electronics, or medical devices.
Geographical Coverage	The proposal should ensure broad geographical distribution across Member States and Associated Countries.
Duration of Visits	Up to one month per visit.
