The Cross-Border Cyber Hubs grant aims to establish world-class cybersecurity hubs across the European Union to pool, analyze, and share cybersecurity threat data between several Member States. These hubs, equipped with secure infrastructures and advanced data analytics tools, will enhance collective situational awareness, threat detection, and response capabilities. The initiative builds additional capacity on top of existing Security Operations Centres and Computer Security Incident Response Teams, supporting collaboration, the adoption of common tools and standards, as well as improved protection and surveillance of critical infrastructure, including undersea cables. The grant covers both the procurement of necessary infrastructure, tools, and services, and activities required to build up and operate these cyber hubs.
