Excellence: Quality and relevance of the project objectives, soundness of approach, innovation potential, and methodology including AI/ML integration.

Impact: Contribution to advancing EU healthcare innovation, improving early detection/prevention/treatment of age-related diseases, and societal relevance. Includes strategies for dissemination, sustainability, and regulatory pathways.

Quality and Efficiency of Implementation: Quality of the consortium, project management, work plan, risk assessment, and allocation of resources.

Entities not eligible under Horizon Europe or IHI Joint Undertaking rules as defined in Annex B and the Work Programme General Annexes.

Organizations or activities not aligned with EU ethical standards or presenting unresolved ethical issues.

Entities from countries not associated or ineligible for funding under Horizon Europe, unless specific national provisions apply.

Interim and final technical and financial reports are required as specified by the Model Grant Agreement. Reports must include progress towards objectives, deliverables, data management updates, and financial statements.

Any relevant data and samples must be available for future research and follow sustainability guidelines established in the grant.

Applicants must register and submit their proposals electronically via the EU Funding & Tenders Portal.

Stage 1: Submission of a concise short proposal (20 pages max), including a compulsory annex detailing type of participants.

Stage 2: For invited consortia, submission of a full proposal (50 pages max), including additional compulsory annexes (budget specifics, in-kind contributions, clinical studies declaration, and if necessary, an ethics annex).

Applicants must use official application and annex templates available in the Submission System.

Project plan including detailed scientific and methodological approach.

Letters of commitment from all consortium partners.

Annexes as required per stage (e.g., participants, budget details, in-kind contributions, clinical studies information, ethics statement where relevant).

Demonstration of financial and operational capacity.

Draft data management plan.

Preliminary assessment of risks and mitigation strategies.

Regulatory and policy alignment plan.
