Energy efficiency and sustainability of AI data processing in Data Centres (IA)

Direct project costs including R&D, piloting, demonstration, and dissemination related to energy-efficient and sustainable AI data processing in data centres.

Personnel, equipment, materials, travel, subcontracting, and indirect costs in line with Horizon Europe rules.

Excellence: Clarity and pertinence of the objectives; Soundness of the concept, and credibility of the proposed methodology; Ambition and progress beyond the state of the art.

Impact: Credibility of the pathways to achieve expected outcomes and impacts specified in the Horizon Europe Work Programme; Suitability and quality of the measures to maximise expected outcomes and impacts.

Quality and efficiency of the implementation: Quality and effectiveness of the work plan, assessment of risks, allocation of tasks and resources; Quality of the consortium as a whole; Appropriateness of the management structures and procedures.

Entities controlled directly or indirectly by Chinese legal entities are excluded.

Other standard exclusions for EU funding (e.g., insolvency, criminal offenses) as described in Horizon Europe General Annexes.

Beneficiaries must comply with Horizon Europe reporting obligations, including regular progress and financial reports and, where relevant, deliverables and milestones.

Proposals must be submitted electronically via the Funding & Tenders Portal using the standard application form before the deadline.

Applications must comply with content and formatting requirements as outlined in the Horizon Europe Work Programme.
