Enhanced medium-size semi-autonomous surface vessels

The aim of this topic is to follow up and complement previous activities supported by the EDF in the field of medium-size semi-autonomous surface vessels, developing a universal fast-moving platform for littoral environments. The project provides enhanced coastal defence capabilities through different mission modules and adaptability for future naval warfare missions. It builds on concepts and designs from previous EDF calls, enabling new design, prototyping, testing, and qualification activities for the platform and its autonomy package, as well as addressing data management and mission modules. Activities include studies, design, prototyping, testing, and qualification, as well as other related development actions. This topic aligns with the STEP Regulation in the area of defence technologies. There is an indicative budget of 90,000,000 EUR, with one or more proposals potentially funded depending on proposal quality and available budget.
