Ensuring comprehensive geographical coverage of the Network of Safer Internet Centres (SICs)

Costs for awareness-raising campaigns, localised educational resource production and distribution.

Costs for operating helplines and hotlines.

Costs for organising youth participation activities (e.g. panels, workshops, events).

Costs for digital literacy training programmes for children, educators, parents/carers, and other professionals.

Costs associated with cooperation with law enforcement, monitoring, reporting, and data collection.

Relevance of the proposal to protection and empowerment of children online and implementation of the SIC functions.

Capacity to provide comprehensive geographical and demographic coverage, including vulnerable groups.

Quality and effectiveness of awareness, helpline, hotline, and youth panel activities.

Cooperation with national Child Helpline, law enforcement, private sector, and Digital Services Coordinators.

Capacity for outreach to all children, including those in vulnerable situations.

Ability to monitor, report and contribute data for policy development at EU level.

Only consortia acting as Safer Internet Centres are eligible; not open to individual private commercial ventures without a relevant public or not-for-profit mandate.

SICs that have previously received EU funding under DIGITAL-2025-BESTUSE-08-NETWORKSICs are excluded.

SICs must regularly report on awareness-raising, helpline, hotline, and youth panel activities, including data collection related to children's online safety, risks, and incidents.

Reports must address cooperation with national and EU authorities and the impact on reaching children, including those from vulnerable groups.

Applicants must demonstrate financial and operational capacity as laid out in the call document.
