ERA Fellowships

The ERA Fellowships aim to support researchers undertaking cross-border mobility to Widening Countries. The program builds on the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2025 action and focuses on increasing research skills, career prospects, and R&I capacity in Widening Countries.

Grant application conditions

Host Organization Eligibility	The host organization must be located in a Widening Country.
Researcher Eligibility	Fellowships are open to researchers of any nationality who wish to engage in R&I projects by either coming to the EU from any country in the world or moving within the EU to a Widening Country.
Admissibility and Eligibility	Proposals must fulfill all admissibility and eligibility conditions of the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2025.
Secondments	Secondments can be included, not exceeding one-third of the fellowship duration. They should align with project objectives and add value to the fellowship.
Non-Academic Placements	Up to six months of placement in the non-academic sector can be included, provided it is at a different host organization within an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country.
Career Development Plan	A Career Development Plan must be established jointly by the supervisor(s) and the researcher, covering training needs, research objectives, and career goals.
