Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) supports high-level integrated transnational study programmes at Master level delivered by international consortia of higher education institutions. The programme aims to promote excellence, integration, and internationalisation of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), enhance the attractiveness of European higher education worldwide, and attract global talent to Europe through institutional cooperation and scholarships for outstanding students.

Coverage

Selective regional budgets funded by EU external action instruments allocated as follows:

  • Region 1 (Western Balkans): 2,200,000 EUR; focus on scholarships in climate change, environment and energy, digital technologies, engineering, sustainable growth and jobs.
  • Region 3 (Neighbourhood South): 3,765,913.20 EUR; at least 20% (753,182.64 EUR) for Tunisia.
  • Region 5 (Asia): 4,393,565.40 EUR; priority to least developed countries.
  • Region 6 (Central Asia): 1,882,956.60 EUR; priority to least developed countries.
  • Region 7 (Middle East): 627,652.20 EUR; priority to least developed countries.
  • Region 8 (Pacific): 209,217.40 EUR; priority to least developed countries.
  • Region 9 (Sub-Saharan Africa): 5,648,869.80 EUR; priority to least developed countries, special emphasis on migration priority countries. No country may access more than 8% of regional funding.
  • Region 10 (Latin America): 4,184,348.00 EUR; max. 30% (1,255,304.40 EUR) for Brazil and Mexico together.
  • Region 11 (Caribbean): 209,217.40 EUR.
