EU-India International Collaboration

The grant aims to facilitate structured cooperation between EU and Indian stakeholders in advanced connectivity research focused on 6G. It includes in-depth analyses of industrial ecosystems, supply chains, technology, policy, and legal landscapes in both regions, and supports joint research, testbeds, and standardization activities. The project expects comprehensive mapping of cooperation opportunities, alignment on requirements and sustainability challenges, and stronger ties between the 6G communities in both regions. Broader goals include supplying factual elements for policy, strengthening Europe’s industry position in the Indian 6G value chain, and fostering synergies and business cases for future 6G systems.

Grant application conditions

Proposal page limit	Maximum 50 pages for CSAs under CSA Stream.
Eligible countries	Legal entities established in EU Member States, Associated Countries, OECD and Mercosur countries, and India. Entities established in eligible countries but directly or indirectly controlled by a non-eligible country or entity are not eligible.
Participation restrictions	Entities assessed as high-risk suppliers of mobile network communication equipment (and their owned or controlled entities) are not eligible. Legal entities in Russia, Belarus, or non-government-controlled territories of Ukraine are not eligible in any capacity. Legal entities established outside Russia but owned for more than 50% by legal persons established in Russia are not eligible.
Gender equality	A gender equality plan is required for public bodies, research organisations, or higher education establishments (including private research organisations). Consideration of gender dimension in research and innovation content where relevant.
Financial and operational capacity	Applicants must demonstrate financial and operational capacity (as per General Annex C of Horizon Europe Work Programme).
Collaboration agreement	Selected participants must sign a collaboration agreement as referred to in the Model Grant Agreement (MGA Annex 5).
Open science and data sharing (Streams B and C only)	AI/ML training datasets must be made openly available in a shared repository accessible to other SNS projects (applies in Streams B and C).
Application form	A call-specific application form is required, available in the Submission System.
Evaluation criteria for ranking	First: coverage criterion. Second: excellence criterion. Third: generic Impact criterion. If still tied: level of SME participation. If still tied: level of IKOP. Finally, resume standard procedure if ties persist.
