The aim of this grant is to support projects that demonstrate the optimisation and deployment of heat upgrade solutions in industrial processes, to increase the recovery and use of waste or locally available heat. Projects should target at least one industrial sector with significant heating demand in the EU and Associated Countries, promoting pathways and business models that facilitate measurable increases in heat recovery, reduced fossil fuel usage, and improved competitiveness. Projects must demonstrate solutions in operational industrial sites, incorporate or evaluate energy storage options, and focus on replicability and standardization. Open technical and economic guidelines and tools for system design and business case development are expected outcomes.
