This is a recognition prize awarded based on achievements. No specific eligible expenses apply.

Scientific contribution and excellence (50 points): The applicant must have made a unique contribution to promoting and facilitating the clinical development of products for poverty-related diseases.

Impact (50 points): The applicant must have significant achievements in promoting Africa-Europe partnerships in global health research, advancing capacity development for health research in sub-Saharan Africa with significant benefit for the African population, and promoting international networking of researchers, policy makers, funders, and donors on poverty-related diseases.

Not applicable — individuals only (not companies) are eligible.

Prize winners must promote the prize and its results, provide targeted communication, acknowledge EU/EDCTP3 support, ensure proper visibility of the EU emblem and EDCTP3 logo, and use the required funding statement.

Applications must be submitted online via the Funding & Tenders Portal Electronic Submission System.

Applicants must create an EULogin account and register in the Participant Register prior to submission.

Submission is in three parts: Part A (administrative information), Part B (technical description), and mandatory annexes (e.g., support letters, CVs).

All application documents must follow the required templates and page limits.
