Grant application conditions

Applicant Type	Natural person identifying as female, residing in a sub-Saharan African (SSA) country that is a member of the EDCTP Association.
Age Restriction	Applicants must be below 50 years old on the day of the launch of the contest.
Residency	Applicant must be a permanent resident of an eligible SSA country that is a member of the EDCTP Association.
Eligibility Restrictions	Current employees of Global Health EDCTP3, any EU institution, agency, or body, the EDCTP Association or people serving on one of Global Health EDCTP3 or EDCTP Association advisory or governing bodies may not apply. Applicants that have already received an EDCTP prize may not receive a second prize for the same activities or in the same prize category.
Exclusion Criteria	Applicants subject to EU exclusion decisions or in situations such as bankruptcy, suspended business activities, breaches of tax or social obligations, grave professional misconduct, fraud, corruption, criminal activity, irregularities, double funding from the EU budget, or conflicts of interest may not participate. Entities or individuals under EU restrictive measures are not eligible.
Submission Requirements	Applicants must register and validate their status in the Participant Register (EULogin and PIC required). Application must include: completed online forms (Part A), a technical description (Part B, max. 45 pages), supporting documents (e.g., letters of support from other scientists, CV of applicant and support letter provider).
Application Deadline	Applications must be submitted before 02 September 2026, 17:00 Brussels time.
Maximum Number of Applications	Each candidate can submit only one application; in case of multiple submissions, only the last received application will be considered.
