Supporting excellence, cooperation or research in conference interpreting training 2026-2027

The Directorate-General for Logistics and Interpretation for Conferences supports and strengthens interpreter training programmes through professional and financial assistance. The grant aims to ensure a sufficient pool of highly qualified conference interpreters to meet the needs of the EU institutions, particularly the European Parliament. Supported actions include integration of modern information and communication technologies in interpreter training, cross-border cooperation among postgraduate courses and universities, regional cooperation for complementary language regimes, and the establishment of postgraduate centres of excellence and research. The programme targets Higher Education Institutions, universities, university institutes, consortia, and associations that offer or coordinate postgraduate courses in conference interpreting, as well as bodies supporting best practices in interpreter training worldwide.
