This action aims to establish European leadership in neutral-atom quantum simulation and digital quantum computing by delivering industry-ready quantum simulators and quantum computing platforms based on thousands of neutral atoms. The project seeks to demonstrate programmable, scalable quantum processors, develop a complete software stack, demonstrate real-world scientific and industrial use cases, and enhance European technological and industrial capacity across the quantum stack. Activities include validation beyond classical computability, benchmarking, user programming interfaces, cloud access, robust error mitigation/correction, supply chain strengthening, partner coordination, and alignment with Europe’s strategic autonomy goals. Projects are expected to begin at Technology Readiness Level 4 and achieve TRL 7 by completion.
