Optimise the usage of resources in a circular economy (RIA) (Processes4Planet and Clean Steel partnerships)

Expenses related to the research and innovation actions as per Horizon Europe rules, including personnel costs, subcontracting, equipment, consumables, travel, and indirect costs as defined in the model grant agreement. Costs are covered as lump sums.

Proposals will be evaluated using standard Horizon Europe award criteria: Excellence, Impact (including exploitation measures and contribution to expected outcomes), and Quality and efficiency of Implementation.

Projects must also demonstrate scalability, economic viability, and environmental sustainability.

Special attention will be paid to support for the steel sector and projects addressing circularity and low-CO2 processes.

Proposals not aligned with the specific objectives of this topic or not covering at least three of the required scope aspects.

Proposals focusing solely on digitalisation without technology development and validation.

Reporting requirements will follow the Horizon Europe model grant agreement, including interim and final technical and financial reporting.

Granting authority may monitor outcomes for up to 4 years after project completion and may object to result transfers or exclusive licensing as per grant agreement.

Single-stage application. Submit through the Funding & Tenders Portal by 21 April 2026.

Application must follow the extended page limits and include a business case and exploitation strategy.

Completion of the online application forms, including technical description, budget, business case, and exploitation strategy.

Compliance with admissibility, eligibility and operational/financial capacity conditions as set in the Horizon Europe Work Programme and General Annexes.
