Quantum Experimental Pilot Lines for Quantum Technologies

This grant aims to strengthen Europe's leadership and strategic autonomy in quantum technologies by advancing experimental pilot line capacities, serving as a vital step toward future industrial-scale quantum hardware production. Projects are expected to: deploy experimental quantum pilot lines for diverse platforms and materials; establish scalable and reproducible quantum fabrication processes for hardware at TRL 4–6; reinforce a pan-European quantum hardware ecosystem via shared infrastructure and open-access models; accelerate technology maturity and provide feedback to future Chips JU pilot lines; and enhance synergies with testing infrastructures and standardisation efforts across quantum computing, sensing, communications, and enabling technologies.
