Rail – studies, works or mixed

Costs directly related to the construction or upgrading of eligible rail infrastructure, intermodal connections, and integration measures.

Staff costs, equipment, and materials necessary for the project.

Costs must be justified in the detailed budget table.

Relevance and contribution to the TEN-T core network objectives.

Quality and maturity of the proposal.

Impact on cross-border connectivity and sustainability.

Cost-effectiveness and soundness of the implementation plan.

Applicant's capacity to complete the project.

Compliance with EU and call-specific requirements.

Support will not be given to the following activities/components:

Railway stations, except for infrastructure components (must be a separate work package).

Track side ERTMS deployment.

Electronic interlockings.

Class A radio communication components (5G/FRMCS/GSM-R).

Class B systems.

Rolling stock.

Periodic project reports, including technical progress and financial statements, in accordance with the Model Grant Agreement and relevant EU regulations.

Final report on project completion and outputs according to grant agreement requirements.

Proposals must be submitted through the EU Funding & Tenders Portal using the online Submission System.

Applicants must complete all required forms and documentation as specified in the call document and annexes.

Applications are evaluated in a single-stage process.

Completed application form (Parts A and B).

Detailed project budget.

Work plan and Gantt Chart.

Environmental compliance documentation, if applicable.

Support letters or Member State agreements as required.

Economic appraisal (CBA calculator, cash flow template) where relevant.

Legal entity validation documents.
