Space Data Economy

This grant supports activities aimed at overcoming sectorial demand fragmentation and scaling up the use of EU space data. It fosters the development of innovative space-based solutions to support decision-making, modernize infrastructure, and address environmental challenges in key priority areas, including energy, climate adaptation, green financing, and liveable cities.

Grant application conditions

Admissibility Conditions	Proposal page limits and layout described in Annex A and Annex E of the Horizon Europe Work Programme General Annexes.
Eligible Countries	As described in Annex B of the Work Programme General Annexes. Certain non-EU/non-Associated Countries may have specific provisions for funding.
Use of EU Space Data	If projects use satellite-based earth observation, positioning, navigation, and/or related timing data and services, beneficiaries must make use of Copernicus and/or Galileo/EGNOS.
Financial and Operational Capacity	Described in Annex C of the Work Programme General Annexes.
Evaluation and Award Criteria	Award criteria, scoring, and thresholds described in Annex D of the Work Programme General Annexes.
Legal and Financial Set-Up	Eligible costs will take the form of a lump sum as defined in the Horizon Europe Programme.
Specific Conditions	Projects must focus on one of the four priority areas: Energy, Climate Adaptation, Green Financing, or Liveable Cities.
