Strengthening the potential of the EOSC for knowledge valorisation and industry-academia collaboration (EOSC Partnership)

This grant supports initiatives aiming to increase and exploit the potential of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) as a platform for innovation and knowledge valorisation, encouraging industry-academia collaboration. The focus is on enhancing the legal and technical frameworks for valuing knowledge resources, fostering open innovation practices, and supporting start-ups and industry access to EOSC resources. Activities include developing business models, analysing legal frameworks, conducting case studies, and producing guidance and best practices to strengthen knowledge valorisation in the EOSC Federation.

Grant application conditions

Admissibility Conditions	Proposal page limit and layout as described in Annex A and Annex E of the Horizon Europe Work Programme General Annexes. Proposal should follow the forms and templates available in the Submission System.
Eligible Countries	As described in Annex B of the Horizon Europe Work Programme General Annexes. Some non-EU/non-Associated Countries may participate if their national provisions allow funding.

Financial and Operational Capacity	Applicants must demonstrate financial and operational capacity and are subject to exclusion criteria as described in Annex C of the Horizon Europe General Annexes.
Evaluation and Award	General award criteria as described in Annex D of the Work Programme General Annexes. For the ‘Impact’ criterion, evaluation includes coordination efforts and resources in connection with EOSC governance.
Legal and Financial Set-up	Each beneficiary must grant royalty-free access to its results to the EOSC Association for monitoring and policy development. Beneficiaries must provide necessary information directly to the EOSC Association for EOSC policy development. Beneficiaries must grant royalty-free access to intellectual property rights that are results needed for further developing EOSC, for non-commercial use, to legal entities identified by the granting authority and established in Member States or associated countries. Beneficiaries must deposit digital research data generated in the action in a trusted repository federated in EOSC, complying with EOSC requirements.
