Support to the development and certification of EU Digital Identity Wallets
This grant supports the expansion and certification of EU Digital Identity Wallets as part of the Digital Europe Programme. Its aim is to facilitate the provision, certification, development, and conformance testing of production-ready EU Digital Identity Wallets by Member States. The grant helps ensure a harmonized and timely deployment ahead of the regulatory deadline at the end of 2026, supporting both the technical and legal interoperability required for digital identity across the EU. Activities are designed to promote rapid adoption by citizens, businesses, and public institutions, advancing digital identification and key public services across Member States in line with the Digital Decade targets. The scope also covers the development of relevant digital service infrastructures for secure digital transactions, electronic attestation, and certification components.
