AI Factory Antennas

The AI Factory Antennas aim to strengthen the network of EuroHPC AI Factories by providing support services, algorithmic support, training activities, access to talent, and remote computing access to AI-optimised supercomputing capacity of the linked AI Factory. These services will contribute to the mission and objectives of an ‘established AI Factory’ to which the AI Factory Antenna is associated.

Grant application conditions

Admissibility Conditions	Proposal page limit: 70 pages. Applicants must provide descriptions of the national AI ecosystem(s), features of the AI Factories Antenna, and cooperation plans with the established AI Factory.
Eligibility Conditions	The Participating State must not have established an AI Factory or be a partner of a selected AI Factory. The proposal must include a pre-agreed association with an established AI Factory. The applicant entity must be registered as a legal entity in a EuroHPC Participating State.
Financial and Operational Capacity	Applicants must demonstrate financial and operational capacity as described in Annex C of the Horizon Europe Work Programme General Annexes.
Evaluation Criteria	Vision, plans, and capability to address challenges of the AI ecosystem. Quality and pertinence of experience and know-how of the applicant entity. Plans for interaction and cooperation with the established AI Factory and other initiatives. Capabilities and plans to contribute to the development of the talent pool.
Budget Contribution	The Participating State must provide a Letter of Support committing to cover the expenses not covered by the EU contribution.

Vision and Plans: Clarity and pertinence of the AI Factory Antenna's vision, objectives, and development roadmap.

Implementation Roadmap: Quality and efficiency of the implementation plan, risk management approach, and KPIs.

Networking: Plans for cooperation with the established AI Factory, other AI Factories, and national/European initiatives.

Talent Development: Plans for training facilities, collaboration with universities, and equipping students with AI skills.
