ERA Fellowships

The ERA Fellowships aim to support excellent researchers undertaking cross-border mobility by providing competitive grants. The program focuses on host organizations located in Widening Countries and builds on the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2025 action. It seeks to enhance research and transferable skills, improve career prospects, and strengthen R&I capacity in Widening Countries.

Grant application conditions

Host Organization Location	Must be located in an eligible Widening Country.
Eligibility Criteria	Proposals must fulfill all admissibility and eligibility conditions of the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2025 and pass all thresholds for that call.
Researcher Mobility	Open to researchers of any nationality moving to a Widening Country from any country worldwide or within the EU.
Secondments	Optional secondment phase in any country worldwide, not exceeding one-third of the fellowship duration.
Non-Academic Placement	Up to six months at the end of the project in a non-academic organization in an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country.
Career Development Plan	A Career Development Plan must be established jointly by the researcher and supervisor, addressing training, transferable skills, and career needs.
