The aim of the support is to empower local governments in planning wind energy areas or wind farms and the infrastructure necessary for their operation, ensuring higher quality and faster processing of plans and permits.

Grant application conditions

Applicant
  • Local governments in the target area of the measure whose territory includes suitable areas for planning wind farms. Local governments may submit a joint application, where one local government is the applicant and others are partners.
Planning status
  • The plan must be initiated at the time of application submission if support is requested for activities related to the plan.
  • The plan must be established at the time of application submission if support is requested for activities related to design conditions, building permits, or usage permits.
Maximum support
  • The maximum support for one local government across all application rounds is 200,000 euros, plus 50,000 euros if the project results in the establishment of a wind energy planning document.
