Pilots for the Next Generation Internet (IA)

The aim of this grant is to foster the take-up of Next Generation Internet (NGI) technologies and solutions in Europe by integrating them into a variety of industrial and societal use cases. It aims to enable the emergence of internet ecosystems supporting the needs of specific sectors, such as public services, healthcare, supply chain management, transport, and more. The grant focuses on open-source solutions and their integration into vertical use cases to ensure replicability and sustainability.

Coverage

A minimum of 15% of the total requested EU contribution must be allocated to financial support to third parties.

Grant application conditions

Admissibility Conditions
  • Described in Annex A and Annex E of the Horizon Europe Work Programme General Annexes.
Eligible Countries
  • Described in Annex B of the Work Programme General Annexes. Includes EU Member States and some non-EU/non-Associated Countries with specific provisions.
Financial Support to Third Parties
  • Beneficiaries must provide financial support to third parties in the form of grants. The maximum amount granted to each third party is EUR 60,000.
Award Criteria
  • Described in Annex D of the Work Programme General Annexes.
Legal and Financial Set-Up
  • Described in Annex G of the Work Programme General Annexes.
Project Duration
  • Proposals with an overall duration of 24 to 36 months are recommended, but other durations are not excluded.
Third-Party Contributions
  • A minimum of 15% of the total requested EU contribution should be allocated to financial support to third parties, selected through open calls.
