Scalable innovative processes for the production of PEMFC MEAs

This grant aims to develop and scale up innovative manufacturing processes for Membrane Electrode Assemblies (MEAs) of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFCs). It focuses on achieving higher production volumes, improving quality control, reducing manual steps, and incorporating eco-design principles to support the growth of fuel cell markets in various mobility industries.

Grant application conditions

Admissibility Conditions
  • Proposal page limit and layout described in Annex A and Annex E of the Horizon Europe Work Programme General Annexes. Page limit for Innovation Actions: 70 pages.
Eligible Countries
  • Described in Annex B of the Work Programme General Annexes. Non-EU/non-Associated Countries may have specific provisions for funding.
Maximum Contribution
  • EUR 5.00 million per topic for HORIZON-JU-CLEANH2-2025-03-02.
Membership Requirement
  • At least one partner in the consortium must be a member of Hydrogen Europe or Hydrogen Europe Research.
Evaluation Criteria
  • Award criteria, scoring, and thresholds described in Annex D of the Work Programme General Annexes.
Legal and Financial Set-up
  • Eligible costs will take the form of lump sums as defined in the Horizon Europe Programme.
Subcontracting
  • Subcontracted work may only be performed in EU Member States or Associated Countries.
Intellectual Property Rights
  • Beneficiaries must inform the granting authority if results contribute to European or international standards up to 4 years after the end of the action.
