The deadline for submitting applications for support for large and small projects has been extended. Interest in the support has been high and now there is time to submit projects until February 4, 2026.
The support for large and small projects is aimed at innovations in agriculture and forestry. The support can be used to develop and test new solutions in cooperation with research and development institutions. The aim is to support knowledge transfer and innovation, which contributes to the development and competitiveness of companies.
A large project must be a collaborative project involving at least three independent parties. At least one party must be engaged in research or development activities. The project must focus on an innovative solution that has the potential to have a wider impact on the field. A small project can also be implemented by one party, but must also contribute to the development of the sector through knowledge transfer.
Companies, non-profit organizations, foundations, universities, vocational education institutions and research institutions can apply for support. Applicants must have a valid commercial register or educational institution registration. Supported activities must fall within the agricultural or forestry sector in Estonia.
The maximum support for a major project is 500,000 euros. For a small project, the upper limit is 150,000 euros. The support rate is up to 100% of eligible costs if they are related to knowledge transfer and cooperation objectives. Eligible costs may include personnel, equipment and material costs, as well as costs related to project management and dissemination of results.
To receive support, the project must be clearly formulated and realistic. The evaluation will consider, among other things, the innovativeness of the project, impact, competence of partners and quality of the action plan. Clear metrics and a plan for dissemination of results are also required.
ARIB has decided to extend the application period due to high interest and technical issues, which have necessitated additional days. There is now almost a month left to apply for support. If you have a project in mind that will bring a new solution to the development of the sector, now is a good time to submit it.
